RPG-26 Anti-Tank Rocket Launcher (Bazooka)
A Rocket-Propelled Grenade (also known as Bazooka, rocket grenade launcher, or rocket launcher) is hand-held, shoulder-launched anti-tank weapon capable of firing an unguided rocket equipped with an explosive warhead. RPGs are very effective against tanks, Infantry Fighting Vehicles (IFVs), Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs), as well as a manpower.
The RPG-26 is a disposable anti-tank rocket launcher developed by the Soviet Union in 1982. It is capable of firing an unguided rocket stabilized by fins . The rocket houses a 72.5 mm high explosive anti-tank (HEAT) shaped charge warhead capable of penetrating 440 mm of homogeneous armour or one and a half meters of brick wall. Its maximum effective range is 250 meters.
“Maxim” Machine Gun
Generally, Machine Guns (MGs) are designed to support the infantrymen with a heavy volume of fire at a battle.
The “Maxim” MG was designed by British inventor H.S. Maxim in 1883. The weapon became one of the ancestors of future automatic machine guns. This MG features one of the earliest recoil-operated firing mechanisms in history and a water-cooled barrel.
This belt-fed MG is quite heavy – 27 kg. It is capable of firing 7.62 mm cartridges at a rate of 600 rounds per minute at ranges up to 2000 meters.
The AK-47, officially known as the Avtomat Kalashnikova , is a gas-operated, 7.62×39mm assault rifle, developed in the Soviet Union by Mikhail Kalashnikov. It is the originating firearm of the Kalashnikov rifle (or “AK”) family.
Even after almost seven decades, the model and its variants remain the most popular and widely used assault rifles in the world because of its reliability under harsh conditions, low production costs compared to contemporary Western weapons, availability in virtually every geographic region, and ease of use. The AK-47 has been manufactured in many countries and has seen service with armed forces as well as irregular forces and insurgencies worldwide, and was the basis for developing many other types of individual, crew-served and specialised firearms. As of 2004, “Of the estimated 500 million firearms worldwide, approximately 100 million belong to the Kalashnikov family, three-quarters of which are AK-47s”
